Let’s talk about: Stress

Are you having a bad day?
Are you having a bad day?

Do you ever feel like breaking down mentally due to pressure and abnormally high expectations of others? Well congratulations, what you are experiencing is the ever-occurring nightmare we call stress.

So what exactly is stress? Well, according to my research, stress is what you feel when you react to pressure. The pressure can come from events in your life, from other people, or even from yourself.

A lot of people experience stress everyday. You, me, all of us, we have all went through it. There are a lot of factors that can cause stress. For me, and all the students out there, the usual cause is school work. Near deadlines, difficult tasks, it all makes my brain want to commit step on Lego. But even though, I still manage to deal with it through various means. Here, we will discuss what we can do to overcome stress, or at least cope with it.

One of the things that I do is engaging in what I love to do, like watching memes, playing Minecraft, drawing stuff, and anime. If you have a hobby, like playing sports or something, you can use that to calm yourself and cope with the stress.

Second is by listening to calm and relaxing music. Whenever you are experiencing stress, music can calm your nerves. I sometimes listen to lo-fi music when I do school work, and it helps me feel relaxed and stay productive.

Another thing that you can do beforehand is having proper time management. Whenever new tasks come up, we tend to mix up our schedules, and that further causes more stress. With better time management, you can finish your tasks efficiently and prevent work overload.

Always remember that even though stress might only be psychological, it can also affect our physical health. Have a friend that can comfort you from life’s burdens. Keep healthy and stay happy!

Here’s a little something for you to lighten up your day.

  1. I’ve been enjoying your posts Marc! Your casual tone is endearing. It’s easy to read and makes me chuckled at times (‘commit Step on Lego’ hahahah).
I like your music recommendation as well. It helps I’m a big fan of Lo-fi as well. I like listening to it when I’m studying for stressful tests and assignments.
    Keep up the awesome blogs!
    Best regards,
    Brayden.
